"Sammy" as a username in Windows XP Home
In setting up Windows XP Home for my niece, I ran into something really weird. When I got to the Add Usernames part of the installation and typed in her name--Sammy--it wouldn't go through. The message I got was something like this: 'Names must not be equal to "SAMMY", "Administrator", or "Guest".' Interestingly, Setup gave no resistance when I changed the username to "SAM".Anyway, my niece is five years old and insists on "Sammy" as her username. So I have two questions: what does the name "Sammy" mean to Windows XP, and why can't we use it?

Hello, Check if you have created that account when installing Windows. Meanwhile, please understand that we mainly discuss Exchange issues in this forum. As your issue is a Windows XP system issue, I suggest you refer the following link for help. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/newsgroups.mspx Thanks, Elvis
